Join us this week on Capital Thinking with host Kevin O'Neill for a peak into the inner workings of the legislative branch of our government. Chairman Jim Lankford (R-OK) of the Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and Procurement Reform of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee joins Kevin, and colleague, Brian Lopina, to discuss the purpose and functions of his subcommittee, specifically as it relates to the business community.

Next, public utility lawyer, Steve Goldenberg will lay out the nuts and bolts of the ongoing battle among the New Jersey state officials, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and PJM Interconnection (PJM) over the ability to construct power plants in the state, including the threat to withdraw New Jersey from PJM and establish a state-owned power authority. Steve will also provide insight into Governor Christie's energy policies, based on the Governor's recently released Energy Master Plan.

Finally, we welcome back civil trial lawyer, Jeff Pollock and law professor Seval Yildirim to continue their analysis of the constitutionality of a complaint spurred from the display of religious indicia during a public high school graduation that took place on June 17.
