The sign of Taurus is associated with many archetypal and mythological figures, including Gaia, the Earth Herself. Attuning to the natural rhythms and seasons on Earth, and celestial cycles in the night sky are Taurean practices in Shamanic Astrology.

Practitioners of this modern form of astrology directly experience the movements of the constellations and planets with their own senses. Just as our ancient ancestors, they view the heavens without the aid of technology, connected to the earth beneath their feet. Through ceremony the practitioner participates in planetary and seasonal cycles. The myths and stories associated with the planets and constellations above come alive and provide personal meaning to enrich our lives.
