Spells must have an even mana cost. 2. Minions must have an odd attack value. These rules were used in the first Challengestone tournament where players had 20 minutes to build 3 decks using these rules. Link to Hearthhead’s recap of the tourney if you want to check it out. http://www.hearthhead.com/news=247539/recap-challengestone-brings-much-needed-freshness-to-competitive-hearthstone New Cards Servant of Yogg-Saron 5 mana cost and under spells = 190 spells in Standard (212 in Wild) (http://www.hearthhead.com/cards=5?filter=stat-cost-max=5#text) Played with Brann Bronzebeard on the board? Casino Mage deck inclusion Can kill itself (not confirmed) Can anyone say, Astral Communion? Won’t work with cards like Flamewaker and Mana Wyrm. (not confirmed) Doesn’t work with spell damage (not confirmed) Faceless Summoner On average you could get a 3/3 minion, so it’s average a 6 mana 8/8 Better summons: Injured Blade Master, Mounted Raptor, King Mukla, FelGuard Bad summons: Edwin VanCleef, Warsong Commander, Fencing Coach, Coldlight Seer, etc Paired with Brann Bronzebeard Excellent in Arena Forlorn Stalker A better card for Wild than Standard. Would work great in a Feign Death deck Good also in Arena Cards it works with: Savannah Highmane, Bloodmage Thalnos, Sylvanas Windrunner, Polluted Hoarder, Leper Gnome, Loot Horder, Harvest Golem and Huge Toad. Shadowcaster Works best with cards that have big effects: Antique Healbot, Sylvanas Windrunner and Ragnaros the Firelord. Could be insane with Edwin VanCleef. Malygos Rogue deck inclusion? Anub’arak leaves behind a 4/4 and returns to hand as a 9 mana 8/4 Xaril still gives toxins on entry and death Use on Brann Bronzebeard to get 2 Brann’s Use on Coldlight Oracles in mill deck Used with Thaurissan Demented Frostcaller Not that great of a card. Flamewaker is better. Could be better in Wild using Spare Parts. It won’t freeze already frozen characters (https://twitter.com/robertawing/status/720978147919814657) More of a Freeze mage card, where as Flamewaker is a Tempo mage. Shifting Shade 4 mana 4/3 + half a Thoughtsteal = good in my book Mixed thoughts on the forums. Finally a good card for Arena? Twilight Flamecaller Arcane Explosion with a 2/2 body, which no one plays Arcane Explosion, so Meh. Could work in a Control Mage deck Good counter to Stand Against Darkness Probably best used in Wild against SAD and Muster. Princess Huhuran Decent in Standard, Insane in Wild Feign Death deck Works well with: Brann Bronzebeard, Savannah Highmane (comment from forums: Muster for Hyenas!), Sylvanas Windrunner and Majordomo Executus Control Hunter fodder Combo with: Infest (Give your minions “Deathrattle: Add a random beast to your hand”) Dark Arakkoa Obviously in the C’Thun deck. Good also in Ramp Druid. Would be OP in Arena. Shifter Zerus It changes every turn until you play it. It has a special glow on it and a tooltip if you mouse over it to remind you that it is Shifter Zerus. “Unstable Mortal” Reviews and Emails iTunes Reviews: 2 Australia – BlackHoodiePurpleHeart Hi there, I like to listen to the Podcast once it hits the iTunes store, usually as a background to other work or playing Hearthstone. Hearthstone gives me the opportunity to play with my dad after work like we used to when I was a kid, even though we live in different states. Its really cool to listen to you guys every week for some casual insights as a break from competitive play. Greetings from Australia and best of luck in the new season! I love the game. I am also somewhat new to podcasts and just started getting into them about a month or so ago, looking to up my game a bit. Then the most wonderful thing happened, I found Loti podcast. Now I am in the happy Hearthstone nexus . You guys rock. I love the insights, much easer the follow the most of the other podcast out there. Just love how happy squishiedragon is, and would truly love to play with all of you. I tried using a Warrior Dragon deck after here about it on you show, I thought ” this could be fun ” and boy is it and for the 1st time I beat lvl 17. Just hit 16 and had to stop and send this email. I have so much more to say and will be emailing more now that I have found your email. But for now, big thanks and can’t wait till Tuesday to hear your newest podcast. I work in a zoo even tho I don’t know how to play it. Thank you Twitter: 1 Michael?@mjestrada914 @LotiPodcast @XcMtbGamer I almost lost it hearing Espo say Druid is weak right now. Like wth did y’all guys even watch the winter HCT? Espo?@XcMtbGamer @mjestrada914 @LotiPodcast I thought my sarcasm was audible. I apologize. Facebook Shoutout:1 Dave – So my wife (sorry ladies) and I have devised the Breakfaststone Challenge. The only time we eat out is for breakfast on the weekends and we usually play HS on our phones. Well this weekend we decided to let the client auto construct our decks using the tavern brawl rules. So, even though it might make roughly the same deck every time now, we get new decks for every week there is a “build your own deck” brawl. To steal a line from the legendary Esposito, it’s “Fun Guaranteed”! Outro That does it for this episode. You can email the show at info@legendoftheinnkeeper.com.
