Whispers of the Old Gods This week we’ve had a few new cards revealed and some more information has come out around the next expansion. Blizzard setup voting for cards like they have in the past. This time around, they were having you vote for which popular Hearthstone players were going to reveal a card on their stream. Kripparrian won the first reveal and he revealed the card on his YouTube channel. A new poll goes live on Monday for 4 weeks with 5 new choices and streamers/personalities/players. At 10 am PDT the following day they will be revealed. N’Zoth, who has never been seen in Warcraft yet, has been seen around the internet and now confirmed by Zeriyah that it’s real. Keep up the great work! Emails: 2 Marco – New Patron Thank you very much. And you guys earned the support for making the best Hearthstone Podcast. ——- Hi, Elohtee-Aye! I’ve loved the podcast for a long time. It’s helped me avoid frustration when I’m in a rut, and both make and find fun in a way I hadn’t before. I’m writing in to share how I find my fun on a daily basis as a casual player who is often very short on time. Instead of clearing every daily quest the same day, I wait until I have three quests. I work on them simultaneously and then stop when I complete one. The next day, repeat. I’ll have three quests in my log again, two of which are probably close to done. Not only is this efficient and much quicker than clearing the log each day, but it’s fun! Each day is a new challenge. — For example, let’s say this is my first day of quests: DAY 1: 1) Win 5 games on Druid or Rogue. (0/5) 2) Play 20 minions that cost 5 or more. (0/20) 3) Cast 40 spells. (0/40) This challenges me to make, say, a rogue deck with big minions and some spells. Maybe that deck goes okay, and I go 3-3 before I complete the “Play 20 minions that cost 5 or more” quest. Then I’d stop for the day. The next, my log might look like: DAY 2: 1) Win 5 Games on Druid or Rogue. (3/5) 2) Play 40 minions that cost 2 or less. (0/40) [the new quest] 3) Cast 40 spells. (23/40) I might attack this day’s new challenge by trying a zoo druid deck. The challenge ends when I complete one of the quests. If I’m doing well, maybe that’s finishing the “Win 5 games on druid or rogue.” If not, then maybe that’s “cast 40 spells.” This strategy got even easier with the introduction of deck recipes. No need to just “wing it” at deck creation. I use those recipes now and tinker. They’re easy and fun! — [Side note: I know this is super long and probably won’t go on the show, but I found myself having a hard time explaining why I just do one quest each day and figured the example might help.] Hope this helps anyone as short on Hearthstone time as I am to rack up the gold and find the fun. Thanks for everything you contribute to the Hearthstone community.
