The Velvethead Lounge showcases delicious deep vocal house and funky dance grooves mixed by DJ Joel Antipuesto. The podcast is inspired and influenced by artists, producers and house music heroes like Miguel Migs, David Harness, Sonny Fodera, Masters at Work, Jay-J, Joey Negro and Frankie Knuckles.

DJ Joel is from San Francisco. Growing up in the Bay Area listening to disco, soul, and synth pop, he came of age in the early 90’s on the dance floors of the San Francisco’s early rave scene. Since 2001, he's been DJ’ing. His first residency was at The Bar in San Francisco's Castro district. Since then, he's had the pleasure of throwing parities and playing with local DJ’s like David Harness, Ellen Ferrato, Rick Preston, Naz and Leonard from InHouse Records, Juan Garcia from Beatbox, Raf, and Juan Segovia.
