In celebration of Christ the King Sunday, this conclusion to the series focused on a variety of images in the “collage” we see throughout Revelation. Artists throughout the Red Door community collaborated to create images which enhance our imagination of the close of Scripture’s story. Listen to the mp3 below, then follow along with the images as they are explored in the teaching. Listen Online: White Stone: by Sarah Wilson“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.” -Revelation 2:17 The New Jerusalem: by Kelsea Clark & Rachel Gough“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people,t and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” -Revelation 21:1-4 The Gate of Pearl: by Chris Knipstine“And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.” -Revelation 21:21 The River & Tree of Life: by Julia Denison“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed…” -Revelation 22:1-3 White Stone: by Red Door Church and Lucas Allen“The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price… He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” -Revelation 22:17; 20 The post Begin With the End | Images of the End (Conclusion) appeared first on Red Door Church in Bloomington Indiana.
