Hazardous Weather Outlook. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest Iowa. west central Iowa. east central Nebraska. northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska. Day one. Today and Tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will push across parts of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa this morning. This afternoon, isolated thunderstorms are forecast to re-develop east of highway 77 into western Iowa. A few strong to severe storms could develop in northeast Nebraska this morning, however severe weather would be likely with the storms that develop this afternoon. Large hail and gusty winds with lightning are the main hazards this morning. Large hail potentially larger than golf balls, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado are possible with the storms that develop this afternoon after 3pm and continue into the evening. Days two through seven. Friday through Wednesday. Several rounds of thunderstorms are likely to impact the region through Saturday night. Severe thunderstorms are possible with each round of storms.
