In episode 65 of The Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo is on his own as he covers two episodes of Season 6 of The Adventures of Superman. First we’re going to meet, Mr. Pebble. He showed up with a proposition. To donate a piece of land to a camp for children. Even better, it’s set for life as it’s on top of a silver mine, and everyone’s happy. No one may be happier than two crooks, one of which who looks eerily like Mr. Pebble. They want the mine, but where is it. You can be sure, questions will be asked, mustaches will be pulled and a man will be yanked up a hill by the plate in his head as we search for “The Superman Silver Mine”. And then, Professor Pepperwinkle comes to town with his new invention, but I’ll bet he doesn’t remember having invented it. Jimmy and Lois want a raise as it’s long overdue so they have to get the story without Superman’s help to get it. What did Pepperwinkle invent? Memory vapor. Jimmy tries to spray crooks and misses. What secret will be revealed and why is Inspector Henderson putting himself to sleep while counting over 700. Do you remember or have you suffered “The Big Forget”?
