In episode 42 of The Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo reaches the dawn of a new era. Starting with Season 3 in 1955, The Adventures of Superman went color, and who better to join Mike for this new stage in this exciting adventure is semi-regular Adventures of Superman co-host Bob Fisher. They will take you through the ins and outs of color, the diminished volume of episodes, the new and fewer flying sequences, the pitfalls of shooting in color and the genius behind the decision. Then, it’s on to the episodes as they will follow the Daily Planet staff back to the Stone Age as an eccentric professor builds a time machine. What oversight did Prof. Twiddle make when using his machine for the first time? Why bring a gangster along, and who is boss in 50,000 B.C. To find out, you’ll have to come “Through the Time Barrier.” Then meet, Ray Henderson, Inspector Henderson’s boy. He’s got an interesting hobby and in true Adventures of Superman fashion, this hobby is going to get him into some serious trouble.
