Pocketnow Weekly 065: Live from the bus stop by the derelict Hooters

The perfect storm of podcast-delay factors descended upon the Pocketnow team this week: your devoted host was in London attending an HTC press event, while frequent co-host Taylor Martin was busily blasting out review coverage for Samsung's still-hot Galaxy Note 3 here in the States. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was busy covering the usual news and editorial cycle in addition to pushing forward with season 2 of the Pocketnow Live broadcast. By the time the review dust settled and the Lufthansa jet touched down on New York's JFK tarmac, it was five in the afternoon on a Friday capping off a very long week for everyone on the team. But when you run a podcast called the "Pocketnow Weekly," the very idea of skipping a show, leaving readers adrift without our scatterbrained observations on the mobile tech space for a full seven days, is just too loathsome to countenance. Though some of you no doubt caught Taylor Martin's pampered pipes prattling on about tech with our friends at the Engadget Mobile podcast a few days back, we knew you'd never forgive us if we left you hanging for another seven days with no Weekly. So this happened. That's right; despite lacking proper connectivity, a sound booth, or even modern conveniences like "walls" and "ceilings," we jumped right from 10 hours of travel and five days of hardcore tech coverage into a harried bus-stop mini-podcast marathon the likes of which the Weekly has never seen. So pocket a few bags of complimentary nuts and ask an attendant for one of those cheap pairs of headphones, because the Pocketnow Weekly is here to immerse you in mobile-tech talk for the duration of your (hopefully short) voyage.
