Saunders dethrones Lee to win WBO middleweight title (Saturday, Showtime Network) Billy Joe Saunders (23-0, 12 KOs) won a majority decision to dethrone WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee (34-3-1, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Saunders dropped Lee twice in round three, but Lee managed to survive the round. Lee recovered and the bout settled into a tactical duel after that with very few exchanges.
