d:one is the University of Derbyâ??s student-led radio station. We air 9 - 8 weekdays, 11am until 5pm at the weekend.We broadcast from the universityâ??s Markeaton Street Campus, but you'll find us in the atrium on occasion looking for you - the students - to help us out recording idents, voicing your opinions and maybe even being a part of a show!
We are the first radio station, on or offline, that enables a range of organisations from charities, not for profit organisations local communities and commercial businesses to have 'air time' on the StudyVox FM online radio network to allow them to broadcast live and fully interactive radio shows which will give them the opportunity for the very first time to get their agenda, voice and message heard on millions of computers and mobile telephones. "For the first time a platform has been created allowing people to share their thoughts and ideas, exchange information and discuss issues relevant to them and the communities in which they live through the most commonly used form of human communication... speech."
PYR, as we also like to be known, is a radio station that is dedicated to giving the young members of our community the chance to get involved with an online radio station.We invite local people to become a member* of our station, where they will have the opportunity to indulge their interest in music and broadcasting.Why not shadow one of our presenters or create your own playlist? 2BR was launched on 25 July 2000. The station broadcasts from the Pendle Forest transmitter on Pendle Hill in Newchurch in Pendle, near Fence, just 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the north-west of the studio. They play a wide variety of music in line with all radio stations owned by The Local Radio Company. The station provides news and sport updates throughout the day as well as traffic updates.
