Colonial Tavern Night returns to the lawn of Old Fort Johnson tonight, Friday, July 19, 2019. This year in addition to the local craft beers brewed by Wolf Hollow Brewery, we will feature hard cider from Rogers’ Cideryard. Admission includes your choice of drink, a souvenir pint glass and a full Pulled Pork Barbeque dinner.
The Fort is open until 7:00 pm for self-guided tours and a scavenger hunt. In addition, we’ve got eighteenth century board and lawn games to test your skills. Bring your friends and make it an evening to remember! Bob Cudmore’s guest on Talk of the Town this weekend is Frank Leak, mayor of the village of Colonie. The 92-year old mayor was honored during South Colonie high school graduation last month and addressed the students on how he overcame being bullied. Mayor Leak did not attend his own high school graduation because he had left for basic training in World War II in the U.S. Navy.
