Michael Riley is author of the book “Bridge Dams on the Mohawk: David A. Watt’s Marvelous Creation.” Riley is the guest on this week’s Historians Podcast.

Though credited with having designed the game of baseball, research in recent years has cast doubt on that.

This summer the Amsterdam Free Library is offering Architectural and Historic tours of the 1903 Carnegie Library building at 28 Church Street in downtown Amsterdam. Tours will be Friday June 28, July 12,19,26; August 2, 9, 16, 23 and Monday August 19, 2019 from 9 - 10 am. The tours can accommodate people in wheel chairs. The elevator can be used by wheel chairs when inside the building. Amsterdam Free Library
